Preparing Your Can Attachment
Apply petroleum jelly to gun basket before attaching can. Point gun in a safe direction (into a trash can), press trigger and screw can onto gun basket. Do not over-tighten. After attaching gun to can, shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
Always Test Bead Size
Before application, test bead size on scrap material.
For Best Results
Fill cracks and gaps as needed, always allowing space for foam expansion. Cured foam can be trimmed, painted, sanded, or plastered.
How To Dispense Product
Shake can vigorously for 30 seconds before pressing trigger to dispense foam with can upside down.
Point gun in safe direction and gently twist off the empty can. Spray gun basket with Polyurethane Foam Cleaner and immediately attach a new can to prevent foam from hardening in the gun.
Storing Gun Foam
Turn off gun flow control knob at back of gun. Store can upright with gun attached. (Maximum storage: 15 days.)
Do surfaces require any special preparation before applying DAP Foam?
Application surface must be clean, dry and free of all foreign material.
Will Touch 'n Foam prevent insects or rodents from penetrating into the home?
Touch 'n Foam insulating sealants do not contain any nutritive value and provide an effective barrier against insect and pest intrusion; however, some persistent pests may chew through cured foam. Touch 'n Foam recently launched Mouse Shield Foam Sealant + Blocker as a specialty foam containing an EPA-registered pesticide that protects the foam from attack by mice, birds, bats and tree squirrels. It also blocks ants, roaches, spiders and bees.
